Community rallies to save missing teenie tiny orphaned bear cub finally rescued over Christmas holidays on Sunshine Coast BC Canada 🇨🇦 ♥️🐻 So small. He never would’ve made it through the winter. #BCStorm #wildlife #sunshinecoastbc #gibsons Read more... https://www.facebook.com/bc.sunshine.coast/photos/a.112459682116661/5240390512656860/ In the summer/fall it was discovered that we had 3 orphaned bear cubs. Plans were put in to place to capture them and send to Critter Care Wildlife Society ~ a rehabilitation centre in Langley where they would stay for the winter and then be released next spring. All 3 were caught and now safe. But then in early November someone reported seeing a teenie tiny bear cub on its own. People rallied together putting up posters, going door to door and going on social media to try to find out if people spotted him and where the little guy hangs out. Conservation officer set up a trap in the area. It took 6 days, but “Sunny” was finally captured !!!! We are all ecstatic!!!!! He weighed only 20 lbs !!!!! So small. He never would’ve made it through the winter. I was honoured and blessed to transport this little sweetie to Critter Care. He is now safe and will be well looked after and have other bear cubs to hibernate with and in the spring he will be brought back to the Sunshine Coast and released. A Christmas Miracle 🙏🏻🐻♥️ Thank you to all !!!!!!!
