The 1st Annual Sechelt Sea Festival weekend kicked off with a stunningly beautiful sunny weekend on the Sunshine Coast, and breathtaking views of Porpoise Bay, BC
Organizers, Halfmoon Sea Kayaks invited the public to "witness the beginnings of the largest Spring festival in the entire World!"
Their new location next to the wonderful Lighthouse Pub with its amazingly huge outdoor patio is the perfect launching spot for kayaking and kayakers.
The weekend Sea Festival is a morph of Halmfoon Kayaks popualr Demo Days which used to be held at Rock Water Resort in Secret Cove.
The new festival heralds the "Official Opening" of Halfmoon Kayaks convenient new location in Porpoise Bay.
The event brought out some great booths to compliment the kayaking demo and FREE try outs of the brightly coloured kayaks including the incredible Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary - Pacific Unit 12 (CCGA12), the fabulous Sunshine Coast Dragon Boat Club, awesome Mermaid Boat Tours, and the terrific Sunshine Coast Power & Sail Squadron
The Annual Halfmoon Kayking Demo Days is one of my favourites and with their new location on Porpoise Bay, the best launching spot for kayakers in Sechelt.
